My Roots

My dad gifted me an old Canon camera when I was twelve, and as I grew older I kept learning and kept capturing. Michaela Ahrendt Photography officially started in 2016 out my back door at Half Moon Trail Resort, which was my childhood home. It was a perfect setting for photography and families loved having photos taken at the lake. I had a friend who did photography and recommended I attend Bismarck State College, which I did, and genuinely enjoyed getting my degree in Graphic Design and Communications. I am now back in the Park Rapids area and still loving photographing at Half Moon Trail, along with several other resorts in the area.
