My interest in photography started early. When I was twelve, my dad gifted me an old Canon camera, and I quickly fell in love with documenting the world around me. Over the years that curiosity grew into a craft as I continued learning and capturing meaningful moments.

Michaela Ahrendt Photography officially began in 2016 at Half Moon Trail Resort, my childhood home in northern Minnesota. The lakefront setting was a beautiful place for photography, and families loved gathering there for relaxed, natural sessions.

Today I photograph families and life’s milestones across the Twin Cities, creating images that feel natural, connected, and true to each season of life.
